📍IFLY TAMPA - We can't say we ever really "yearned" to try skydiving, but when Sean suggested trying indoor skydiving, I jumped on getting tickets immediately. No real risk of death falling from 15 feet onto a padded net! LOL
We think 2 the most important things the instructors showed us before getting ready to fly were:
1. Take off any hanging jewelry,
and
2. Learn the hand signals.
The pressure and wind current inside the chamber is very strong, and if your necklace or bracelet gets tangled or caught somewhere on your clothing, it could be an issue. Also, the chamber is LOUD! If you don't know the hand signals that the instructors are giving you, you are not going to get the most out of your 2 minutes of flying time.
Now, once you're suited, and ready to go, stepping into the wind tunnel is magical! You immediately get lifted off your feet and start floating with an instructor's help. You've morphed into a real life Superman! But you have to watch those signals to help maneuver yourself around the tunnel as the instructors demonstrate. WHAT A RUSH!
I loved the skydiving so much I bought an extra minute at the end of our session just to go once more. I couldn't get enough! And everything was caught on video, which was GREAT for us!
Keep in consideration, it does take some strength to hold your body in position for flying properly. After the first flight I was out of breath and could totally feel my muscles burning. I was sore in my shoulders and middle back for about 3 days afterwards. It's hard work- BUT totally worth it!
Go try indoor skydiving- it's fun, it's new, it's fast, and it's fun! Send us your pictures! Visit Shana store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GoldenSunDesignsUS
